BayFort Capital on Wednesday announced the appointment of Sunil Subramaniam as an advisor to the firm. A distinguished veteran of India’s financial services industry, Subramaniam brings over four decades of experience across banking, insurance, and asset management, according to a release by BayFort Capital.

Subramaniam’s illustrious career spans leading organisations in both the public and private sectors — including the State Bank of India, United India Insurance, American Express Bank, and Bank of America.

Subramaniam is best known for his transformative leadership at Sundaram Mutual Fund, where he served in various capacities since 2005, culminating in his role as Managing Director from 2018 until his retirement in 2024.

Under Subramaniams leadership, Sundaram Mutual Fund received numerous industry recognitions, including The Great Indian BFSI Marketing Campaign of the Year (2023) for Sundaram Flexi Cap Fund.
